  • Bloc Party - This Modern Love

It was on an October night, in Paris. We went to a pub, made some noise outside with a German band. Kele, Bloc Party's singer, went out. We asked him to sing. He said no. • Urban Abstract

Urban Abstract was born in Tokyo during 2009. It consists of 40 X five second clips or it can be viewed as a one 200 second journey across urban space. radiohead-pyramid-song-1 Malevolent, moving, epic sounds of the Apocalypse: Radiohead's Pyramid Song will only further people's expectations that their new album would not be a return from the beautiful weirdness of 2000's Kid A. This dark, ambient, dance-influenced rock on Pyramid Song may be the most bizarre material Radiohead has released yet.

radiohead-pyramid-song-2Like so many Radiohead songs, a horrible tragedy has occurred and Yorke is left sifting through the wreckage. "I want to see your smile again," he sings, "like diamonds in the dust." Yorke seeks to cling to love among the chaos but cannot - the forces swirling around him are too omnipresent. "Cease this endless chattering, like everything is fine," sings Yorke, "But sorry is not good enough, sit in back with us, we're on drugs, drugs." The foe here is the deadening consciousness of the age of Prozac and ecstasy. While on Amnesiac Yorke dealt with the demons of lost memories, and on Pyramid Song he tackles the demons of a culture suffocating itself with drugs and boredom. Video by Philip Bloom and shot using Sony EX1 and Letus Extreme in 60fps 720p.
