Sovnger - Blake, What I like
Forgettable, loud and obnoxious techno noise but with a cool and crazy video shot in the subway system of Paris, France. Featuring a fast moving and insanely fun relay race, the camera has such an incredibly fast framerate that the fluorescent lights can be seen to be flickering, which would otherwise be imperceptible to the naked eye because of their incredibly high frequency. What else is there? is a typical Röyksopp single, funky, catchy, accessible and perfectly designed for both the nightclub and the stereo at home. The vocals have a bjorklike quality to them and the melody is extremely retro with a definite eighties vibe about it, a mixture of the Indy class of Depeche Mode with a funk soul edge to it.
